Gigantic THANK YOU! + Absolute Beginner Series, Potluck, Love To Our Sponsors

Hello dear yoga friend!

WOW!  I would just like to say a GIANT,  WHOLE-HEARTED thank you to all of you who came to our grand opening party in Minneapolis this Saturday!  I am totally thrilled with having met you,  practiced with you,  cheers pink sparkling wine and other sweet nectars with you.

The party was a total hoot.  Music by friends,  classes by some of our teachers,  prizes,  great food,  henna,  chair massage,  and community.  I LOVE YOU!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!

A new business is always a leap.  Financial investment,  emotional investment,  hopes and dreams.  I am overjoyed and hope to ride this wave into the future with you.  I hope that our team of teachers inspires you and imbues you with well being,  energy and compassion!!!!

So much to say,  and I’m gonna try and say it quick.  I’m going to do a big blog post with a bunch of photos and stories from the day.  But for now,  let’s catch you all up to speed!

WE ARE OPEN!

Have you see our new sparkly sign with a bow??? BIG thank you to Forrest Wozniak for his mad skills!  If you need him for a sign painting job,  here is hiswebsite & instagram.

WE ARE OFFERING around 20 CLASSES A WEEK

YES! 20 classes a week with 7 different instructors!  Many different styles for all types of yogis,  from gentle/chair yoga to power vinyasa. Calendar is here.

Absolute Beginner Yoga Series

If you’ve never tried yoga,  would like a tune up,  or would like to get your spouse/friend/cousin into yoga, please join me for my Absolute Beginner Series starting Wednesday,  June 22nd at 5:30 pm for four weeks.  We will break that intimidating barrier,  have a laugh,  and NO NEED TO TOUCH YOUR TOES or wear ill fitting yoga pants!  Come as you are,  just make sure you can move and breathe.  6 people required for this series to fly – space is limited.  Register and more info here!

A few new classes are popping up

Yin Yoga Tune Up with Rosemary Erb begins Monday,  June 20th at 7 pm. Power Vinyasa with Molly Maher begins Sunday June 26th at 10:30 am as well as Monday June 27th at 5:30 pm.  We are also launching two kids classes on Saturday afternoons – ages 3 to 5 at 2:30 and 6 – 9 at 3:15 beginning June 25th.  I am having the hard decision of choosing between three instructors,  but the class is ON!!! Parents can hang in the reception area or take a nice walk around the neighborhood (or go to the chatterbox for a pint!)

Donation Class & Potluck

TODAY, Friday June 17th is our monthly “Plant Based Yoga” (5:30 pm – all levels hatha/vinyasa class) and vegan potluck (6:30 pm).  Come to one or both!  I have changed this event to donation-based / pay what you want.  The proceeds for the class (5:30 pm) will be donated to a different organization every month.  This month we will donate to help support families of the victims of the Orlando event this week.  If you know of a good charity,  please let me know as I’m still researching.  Last month we donated to Animal Rights Coalition and Gardening Matters. Info here.

THANK YOU SPONSORS!

Lastly I would like to thank our sponsors for the grand opening and urge you to all like their facebook pages,  enjoy their live performances,  buy their products,  work with them to buy your new property,  cater your parties,  massage and henna you!  Thank you to Punk Rawk Labs (delicious nut-based cheeses),  Innate Foods (vegan,  gluten free brownies!),  City Girl Coffee (we’ll see you at Twin Cities Pride next weekend!),  Mehndi Moments Henna (sparkly henna skulls,  dragons,  flowers!),  Enchanting Moments (so many of you enjoyed chair massages – YUM!),  Leslie Bruns – Realtor,  Better Homes and Gardens (Leslie found me my HOUSE!!!!),  Lisa Walker, Lender AMEC (Lisa is the most rad of lenders!),  Photographer Jason Kokal,  Musicians Dirty Knobs,  Katy Vernon,  Perry from Sons of Shiva,  Brian Just & Josie Just!  I’d also like to thank Vegan Backer for listing my studio in their online directory of vegan produces and services, Chris Hannon of Reach Higher Painting for painting up the trim,  Kyle MacLean Carpentry and Bob Olson for the interior paint job,  Krishna Dorney / Metropolis Construction for installing the hardwood floor and pretty much everything else that comes up,  my neighbor Jack for helping move furniture around and washing the windows,  Bryce for eventually installing a picture rail for the art gallery & ballet barre for Barre classes – YES!,  The Corcoran Neighborhood Organization,  reviews from Rift Magazine,  The Herbivorous Butcher,  SaFire Training,  MostlyMinnesota.com,  Minneapolis Star Tribune!  Thanks to my parents and their amazing,  seemingly unconditional love and support,  and YOU YOU YOU for hanging with me during this wild time!

AND finally our teachers:  Katie Olson,  Lauren Asheim,  Dorothy Jordan,  Rosemary Erb,  Molly Maher, Kathleen Sprole,  Jude Ortiz (resident sub!) Sue Redmond (Sue is subbing THIS Saturday at 1 pm – she used to own the space when it was Hiawatha Yoga about 2 years ago!!! Sue starts Restorative Yoga June 10th), and our soon to be kids yoga instructor! Read all about our teachers here.

I think that’s all I got!

OH I did want to say that I extended our early bird specials to the end of July.  That means,  if you buy a 5 or 10 pack of classes they do not expire as long as we are open,  and our earlybird 6 month passes are a steal ($400 for 6 months or $325 for students).  The monthly automatic deduction will remain $75 til the end of July as well (you’ll get locked in and that price will never rise for you as long as you stay on with us!) Check out our pricing here.

BIG BIG LOVE AND GRATITUDE!

Did I forget anyone???? I thanked YOU already,  right???!

And my last request is that you please,  please please share with your friends and help our little nest grow.  We are on google and yelp and any reviews you have are sooooo welcome to help bring visibility.  We hope to enrich the neighborhood and your lives with all the good stuff!!!! Looks like

XOXOXOXO mary and imbue crew
