Late May Newsletter: Midtown Farmers Market, Yin, Power Vinyasa & PARTY TIME!

Hello sparkling yoga friend!

Always hope you’re doing well!  May is winding down and there is so much change in the air for the summer.  Can you feel how intense it is??? I hope you’re finding time to sit on the grass,  bare footed,  feel the breeze on your face.  I hope you’re able to sleep in a little and wake up to birds instead of alarms.  And I hope that in your seated meditation practice (or sitting at your desks!) your hips are open and spine is long and full of ease!

Thank you to all the new students who have been popping into the space to try out our “soft opening” classes and hello to those of you who joined this mailing list online.  I’ll be recording your savasana song here VERY soon,  and will giveaway a 5 class pass to someone right before the grand opening.  Stay tuned!  And good vibes to you all, of course!

SO MANY CHANGES already at the studio!  Absolutely thrilled! Many more plants are greening up the shelves,  beautiful begonias hanging outside.  The trim is finally painted with much gratitude to local paint company Reach Higher Painting (if you’re looking for a paint crew,  they are AWESOME!) and soon our exterior sign will be painted by custom sign painter Forrest Wozniak.

We also have TWO NEW TEACHERS to add to the roster!  Please welcome Rosemary Erb and Molly Maher!

Molly Maher – Power Vinyasa Sundays 10:30 am beginning June 26th and Mondays 5:30 pm beginning June 27th:  As a musician and roadie for over 20 years, Molly had found balance to her nightlife through yoga.  As an instructor/camp counselor for cancer survivors, she believes yoga should be accessible for every body. Small movements and adjustments can bring great results mentally and physically.  CorePower graduate of  Power Vinyassa, Hot/HPF teaching programs , Molly brings a strong foundation of safe alignment fused with the joy of movement. Along with the same lessons she learned on the mat she uses in her daily life, modifications are encouraged and child’s pose is ALWAYS an option.

Rosemary Erb: Yin Yoga beginning June 20th on Mondays at 7 pm

Rosemary got hooked on yoga at various public yoga functions around the Twin Cities. Convinced she was onto something missing in her life, Rosemary committed to a daily yoga practice and enrolled in the Yoga Center’s 200 hour Yoga Study Course in 2010. Since then she has graduated from the Yoga Center’s 500 hour Advanced Training Course as well as trained in Level 1 Adaptive Yoga with Mind/Body Solutions(Minnetonka), Yin Yoga with Spirit of the Lake Yoga(Excelsior) and a Street Yoga immersion that led to a family therapy/art therapy yoga group. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Yin Yoga are the lineages Rosemary practices and these styles are infinitely adaptable to the student while giving the class a meditative moving feel. Rosemary has completed a Vinyasa Teacher Training with Seane Corn in 2011 and David Swenson’s Ashtanga Primary Series Training in 2013.
