Welcome to Imbue Yoga!

We are thrilled to welcome you to our new yoga studio in the Corcoran / Powderhorn neighborhood of Minneapolis!  This is a welcome message from me,  founder Mary Bue MacLean,  who will be doing most of the blogging around here.

Imbue is a little used verb that means “To permeate,  inspire,  infuse with a particular feeling or quality.”  My hope is that all who enter the space are “imbued” with well being,  energy and compassion.  I hope to create a welcoming,  non-intimidating space for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.  Our studio is small (capacity about 15 people),  so you will not feel left in the shuffle.  Request are welcome and we will strive to make your practice as beneficial to you as possible!

Our first official class is April 16th at 1 pm!  The studio as of today (Sunday 4/10) is still in the throes of the remodel.  The warm brown bamboo floor has been installed,  the walls are primed with golden yellow.  The eco rubber mats have been purchased,  and many frills and furnishings are on the to do list to decorate and nest with!

In April and May,  we have a mix of independent instructors (Elen and Kathleen) and Imbue instructors (Mary and Katie).  You’ll be able to get a super discount soft opening pass w/ Mary and Katie,  or try out Elen and Kathleen’s classes on their own pay scale.

A few goodies about us:

We are proud sponsors of the Minneapolis Yoga Conference (register with the magic word “Imbue” for 10% off your pass here: http://www.minneapolisyogaconference.com),  Duluth Homegrown Music Festival and MN Yoga + Life Magazine.  We’ll offer a once monthly “Plant Based Yoga” class where all the proceeds go to a compassionate organization of choice.  We’ll enjoy live music yoga classes and vinyl nights,  special workshops,  discounted retreats,  book clubs,  meditation groups,  and so much more. In the summer we’ll debut our first art show with an opening featuring spiritual or natural themed art.  The sky is the limit (and we have custom aerial yoga brackets installed,  so the sky might not even be the limit!).

We strive to be as local and environmentally conscious as possible.  From the sustainable bamboo floor to our eco-rubber biodegradable yoga mats,  we will try to leave minimal impact on the planet.  We’ll contract with local independent musicians,  artists and small businesses.  We intend to leave our community a healthier & positive place than before!

I can’t wait to meet you and become part of the Minneapolis community.  Thank you for checking out our website!  Please join us for our grand opening party June 11th from 3 to 9 pm for free mini classes,  refreshments and live music by Brian Just,  Dirty Knobs, Katy Vernon and more!

Namaste and much love,

Mary
