Intro to Aerial Yoga (Pre-requisite for Aerial Yoga drop in Classes) June 4th 2-3:30 pm
This workshop is the prerequisite for all of our drop-in Aerial Yoga classes. In a safe and welcoming environment, learn how to invert, maneuver, balance, stretch and have fun in the aerial silks!! Learn proper modifications and propping techniques to for your personal comfort and ability level. Elevate your yoga practice to a new level and experience it in a new way. This class is most accessible to those with a general understanding of basic yoga poses. Please no sharp jewelry, clothing with zippers, or anything that may snag and damage the aerial silks.
Helpful tip: Cotton (not synthetic/slippery) clothing is most comfortable and safe in the silks. I recommend wearing a tighter fitting tank top with a T-shirt over it for optimal modesty while inverted, and protection from friction of the fabric.
*If you have a spinal condition, injury, or medical issues that prevent you from inverting (glaucoma, heart condition, etc) or backbending, or are pregnant, please obtain your doctor’s permission.
Midwest Women’s Herbalist Conference June 9-11th in Almond, Wisconsin
Join Imbue’s founder Mary at the 6th annual Midwest Women’s Herbalist Conference! Mary will be leading gentle morning yoga in the Red Tent and co-facilitating the Teen Spiral Camp.
“Learn from world-changing thinkers and movers in the world of women’s wisdom and herbalism. The 2017 Conference marks our sixth year as we gather together again at Camp Helen Brachman, in Almond, WI (two hours from Milwaukee near Waupaca) with about 400 women, teens, and children.
Along with the herbal education and personal growth workshops women enjoy dance and body movement opportunities, singing, and nature walks. The village will commune together around nourishing, mostly organic meals, swimming in and enjoying the view of beautiful Pickerel Lake (in the heart of the camp), and soaking in the evening campfire.
While tent camping or residing in the rustic cabins, women enjoy the natural beauty around the camp, with enough space to join a group or take a quiet walk alone.
Beginning with a welcoming opening ceremony, bringing together the group’s intentions, each personal journey continues while held in the trusting and mysterious arms of nature.
